SOUNDGARDEN & PEARL JAM 1992 BAND SIGNED TEXAS CONCERT TOUR POSTER CHRIS CORNELL. This is an extremely rare poster from over 30 years ago promoting the Pearl Jam / Soundgarden show that was an unplanned miracle of tour scheduling for fans. Due to the fact that the tours overlapped resulting in the shared bill and fans are still talking about the performance to this very day. This is your opportunity to own a piece of'Grunge' history that pertains to two of the greatest rock / grunge bands... Good Luck ever finding another!
DIMENSIONS: 17.50" x 20". April 28, 1992 - 4/28/1992. Austin, Texas - Austin City Coliseum. April 29, 1992 - 4/29/1992.Dallas, Texas - Bronco Bowl. April 30, 1992 - 4/30/1992. Houston, Texas - Unicorn Club.
Designed by Brad Hale at the request of Susan Silver Management. Brad created this epic poster using the photography work of the infamous'grunge photographers' Lance Mercer & Michael Levine and incorporated the use of a die cut, split fountain ink trough printing using Green / Metallic Gold / Metallic Silver. Due to the ink application printing process every print is slightly different and the colors truly pop! One of the photos shows the poster photographed on top of the wood and steel die cut.Another photo shows the poster that was donated by Susan Silver Management that is on display - front and center - at the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame'Grunge Exhibit' - ABSOLUTLY ICONIC! Arguably, one of the Holy Grails when it comes to Soundgarden posters! One collector will tell you that the Unicorn Show Green Lady print is "the unicorn" - I would argue that THIS is indeed "THE unicorn". Fact is, the Green Lady / Houston, Texas / Green Lady print does indeed surface on rare occasions... I have only ever witnessed ONE that was autographed.
Amazing relic, given the scarcity, will continue to. Increase exponentially with every passing year. This rare treasure is in very good condition! It has been stored flat in a heavy-duty acrylic sleeve. It has not been professionally framed because of the rarity and the fact you will want to take numerous photos before preserving this properly, in a custom frame. The paper / cardboard stock used on this original pressing is very unique and it's been suggested it remain in a sleeve until professional framing for future authentication of other originals (should they ever hit the market) In the event this doesn't sell in short order I will be framing it with my personal tour laminate / credentials from the 1992 tour to display in my Chicago studio.... Here's your chance to get it now. This is a true piece of music history and a must have for the ultimate Soundgarden / Pearl Jam fan! To merely find an original in this condition is extremely difficult...
Signed by the entire band... There were only 5 that were signed in my presence. Due to the fact that only one other autographed has ever surfaced, I would submit that it would be safe to assume that the 5 I know of to exist...This print is from a very small run of 335 posters - that was it - 335 in total. Here is your opportunity to own one of the most sought-after pieces of Soundgarden & Pearl Jam prints ever produced! In an effort to provide as much information as possible I have included a screenshot of a great video a work colleague sent me from YouTube of MTV covering the event. They even have footage of BOTH bands onstage covering Neil Young's -'Rockin' In The Free World'.
Also a few people YouTube videos that have surfaced... So great to re-live it! Thank you for all the interest. Offers under the list price will not be considered. This is being offered at this price for a limited time and will increase once it is framed with my tour credentials.Must see this poster in person! This will most likely be hand delivered by me personally if my schedule allows or via a personal courier service as opposed to crating. This is not something to be placed in a tube after being stored perfectly flat in a protective sleeve. I have worked in the live / touring music business since 1986... It will pass any authentication process you wish and is as rare as it gets. I try and provide as much information as possible regarding each item and most everything I have I have actual dates and venues they were obtained. I went so far as to literally catalog everything I collected at a particular concert that evening or following day of the event, going so far as to keep an actual journal for over 30 years with meticulous notes. I look forward to finding good homes for these pieces... It breaks my heart to sell them, but I must part with some of them as I have literally run out of storage and refuse to rent a larger unit.
All of these items have been stored in a temperature-controlled storage facility and the framed items were custom framed by a professional framing company to museum quality standards using Acid Free materials and UV / Museum protective glass. Thank you for your interest.... It's been a lifelong passion of mine preserving these items and the kind words and appreciation mean the world to me.
